Enjoy Better Privacy with Sidelight Shades & Blinds
Sidelights allow more natural light to enter your home and provide a unique visual accent to your home’s entryway. Unfortunately, uncovered sidelights can cause UV damage to your flooring and allow for prying eyes to see into your home. But you can fix these problems with the simple addition of sidelight window coverings. The Design 5 Ltd. team shares our favorite shades and blinds for covering and accenting your sidelights.
Sidelights Come in Many Sizes
Sure, most sidelights are narrow, but there are many wider options that also need coverage. The wider your sidelights, the more options you have for shades and blinds to cover them. If your sidelights are exceptionally slim, think four inches wide or less, you may not be able to have functional coverings for them. The good news is that you can choose shades with sheer or light-filtering fabric, so you can still take advantage of and enjoy the sunlight even if you aren’t able to adjust the shades themselves.

Fabric shades are an outstanding option for sidelights because you can choose from various material opacities.
